Things To Know
Posted by Darthatheri July 14, 2018No matter what walk of life you come from, it’s likely you’ve spent some amount of time debating with friends and co-workers over who would win in a fight, Dr. Strange or Dr. Fate? Mario or Sonic? Flash or Quicksilver? King Kong or Godzilla? Mega Man or Astro Boy? Well, you get the point. In 2014, Death Tourney™ was conceived to lay some of these debates to rest once and for all. Four years, thousands of research hours, reams of data, and a half million lines of code later – Death Tourney™ goes public. Death Tourney™ has explored every aspect of every character, and every battle in nearly every story-line in comics, novels, games, movies, television, cartoons, and books. Great care was taken in preserving continuity and the question of what is and what is not canonical. What we have discovered is that no character is infallible. Some of the most notable characters in pop culture medias barely break even in battles won and lost throughout history. Bert Bell, a former National Football League commissioner often said, “on any given Sunday, any team in the NFL can beat any other team.” No matter what the odds makers say, on any given Sunday any team can beat any other team. That statement seems to resonate in the world of pop culture. Regardless of who wins on the battlefield it’s ultimately about why and how the battle is fought.
